A very difficult task for some

The biggest trouble that people face after buying packaged foods and other items when they go out (for some even when they stay at home) is throwing the trash after using. and even more, when they find the Neel Metal Fanalca waste bin near they tend to play  basket ball and simply take the effort to put it outside the bin rather than inside.

This is the case not just with the people who work in MNC's. these are sustained in people who work as maid servants in some houses. they just seem to not have the time to throw the wastages into the bin.

If places near residence areas are like these, then places around the Side beaches and East Coast Road are a different scenery altogether. The plastic covers and other wastages form a major share of the beautiful/smelly scenery.

Lets just see a small scenario:
Your boss is giving you a big bundle of seperate sheets to be couriered. Imagine if he throws in front of everyone and just goes away waiting for you to pick that up, arrange it and do the needful. There are some people who are big Chamcha's. Rest i believe will not do it. and in the end if your boss come and shouts at you for not doing it promptly wont you feel bad?

This is exactly the same way that is happening to the person who's work is to carry all the wastages from the waste bin and take the same and dump it.If you do not take interest in throwing them properly into the bin, how can you blame them for not doing your job.

I believe there are a lot of people who want to do good to the society or that is what they say. I always believe that the best way to start is putting your wastages in the bin properly. Thereby helping the people who work to keep the city clean.

CIVIC SENSE - CLEANLINESS

Thanks to Shailendra to pen down exactly what I had in my mind.

Quote
-
"For starters, lets clean our homes first- and keep them like that consistently.

Follow all traffic rules (never mind the honks around you). When you litter even a tiny amount, you know you are not setting an example.

Do what is right, not what the rest of the world is doing.

Inculcating civic sense, hygiene and responsibility within ourselves, we all can collectively make this earth a better place."

Unquote -

The above said is definitely what we all need. In fact last week when I was waiting in a signal showing red, had a Police jeep honking behind to go ahead. I think even in such cases we need to be strong enough to follow it where I was not.

That was on traffic rules.

Coming back to cleanliness, inculcating this CIVIC sense in people around is an action plan now as this being the root cause of all.

Felt the following would be a better one to instigate people to start thinking in the lines of "Keeping the city clean", if we few really think to bring the change around.

1st STEP : If found someone littering on the road, pick the same in front of him and throw it in the trash basket. Do it every time and at least one out of hundred whom you get to see every day may change gradually and starts the chain reaction.

Hope we can give a try to the above one. Your views on this please..

CLEAN GREEN CITY - CHENNAI

As said in the earlier post, rather talking ill about things around us why not let us get into action and do our best in making India better.

Had been to Sabari malai last week and found the place around the temple being very dirty and unclean. Mostly find people littering around the used coffee cups and the annadanam plates on the road. The Trash bins which were available very little in number also weren't used effectively. Now this clearly shows how as public do not utilize the very little facility provided by the government.

The above is clearly the indication of the attitude of people and in this case the majority is from TN ,with maximum percentage originating from chennai.

I hope as a part of public we are totally responsible to maintain and make the city clean. WHAT IN ALL READERS OPINION SHOULD THE FIRST STEP OR ACTION TO START MAKING THE CITY CLEAN BE? Eagerly await your inputs on this t chose the best before i share my thoughts.

Why not let us make india better...?

With my recent trip to a country outside India, was really surprised with the way things were organised in the country. It struck me when one of my ex-colleague who is now settled in that country said..."Lifestyle here is better than India and hence we have now applied and become citizens of this country as we wanted to settle here". Making their own career and life outside India is their own wish, but not by pointing and labeling our country as "BAD".

On thinking and comparing, we find that all the majority problems lies with the public here and not with the Government. How often have we encouraged the Govt. to take steps and how far have we respected their implementation of new ideas... Apart from those, there are many basic thing, where the Govt need not have to do anything. Its all with us..

1. Obeying traffic rules
2. Keeping the city clean and green.
3. Being honest and obeying rules and regulations

These basic things came to my mind...

Hope you all too will put in your thoughts.

Going forward, we will discuss, debate and try putting things into action on the above 3 basic things as citizens of india. Since I am based in Chennai, would like to start from Chennai.
